Our Services

We specialise in family law, meaning: -

There is an infinite variety of circumstances and people caught up in relationship breakdown can have significantly different outcomes, even where one case seems similar to another. It is therefore vital to seek independent legal advice tailored to you and your specific circumstances.  Advice online, or from friends and family, is no substitute for individual and specific advice on your particular circumstances.

A free initial consultation of up to one hour is available, so it is free for you to find out if the firm can help, and most importantly, how much work is likely to cost!  Tailored costs review limits can be set, so that the costs remain under your control.  To help with the payment of costs, we ask for regular payments – preferably by standing order of, usually, £300 per month - so that the costs can be spread into easier monthly payments.  Like most firms, we do not accept payment at the conclusion of a case, although we are flexible and prepared to consider taking on cases where advance or ongoing payment is difficult.  This can be discussed at an initial appointment.

The firm does not carry out publicly funded work (formerly Legal Aid), and few people now qualify for public funding.  Access to expert legal advice, at an affordable price, is therefore more important than ever.

We can offer initial advice face to face, by telephone or by e-mail – whichever is most convenient for you.  This means that you do not have to be local to instruct us, and indeed we are regularly instructed by those out of the area, or the country!  Solicitors’ hourly rates – especially in cities – are significantly higher than ours, but the quality of our services is as good, if not better, for a substantially lower cost, and a personal service is guaranteed.
